• AK: a Russian gun, AK 47

• baby gangster: a gangbanger who didn't kill a person yet

• bad: dope, cool

• bag up: to be catched by police

• banger: gangbanger

• barrio: neighborhood

• b-boy: break dancer, active member of the hip-hop scene

• beamer: BMW

• beat it: to run away

• beef: disagreement, quarrel

• big willie: hustler-style

• biolingin: rhyming in 2 languages, ie Spanish and English

• bite: to copy a style

• blasted: being under influence of drugs or alcohol, or to get shot

• blow: cocaine

• blunt: a joint rolled in the tobacco-leaf wrapper of a Phillies Blunt cigar

• bombed: being drunk or high

• bong: a water-cooled pipe for smoking, often made of glass or bamboo

• boostin': shoplifting

• boo yaa: sound of a sawed-off shotgun which is fired

• borracho: drunk

• bote: jail

• brick: a kilogram-sized slab or cube of compressed pot

• buckin': to shoot

• bud: the fresh or dried flowers of the female marijuana plant

• bumrush: someone is under attack by an enraged mob

• bust: to do something (hanging out, relaxing, check something out)

• busted: being uncool, go to jail

• carnal: close friend

• cheeba: good pot

• chronic: a hip-hop term for high-quality or potent reefer

• cock: dick

• cypher: a group of people smoking marijuana, or a group of mc's freestyling

• DEA: Drug Enforcement Agency

• dead presidents: money

• dime: 10 $ bag of weed- a "dime bag", 10 years prison

• diss: to talk bad about someone

• doobie: a 1960s and '70s term for joint; the word originated on the baby-boomer kiddy show Romper Room, where the good children were called "good Do-Bes."

• dope: any controlled substance, although it usually refers to heroin or marijuana; also a hip-hop term for fine or good

• to be down with someone: to hang out or work with someone

• down by law: to be gifted

• drive by: to shoot out of a driving car

• ends: money

• ese: guy, dude

• five-o: a cop

• fly boy: a male person who is dedicated to hip-hop

• fly girl: a female person who is dedicated to hip-hop

• flyer: advertsisment for an event on a piece of paper

• forty, fortie: a 40 ounce bottle of alcohol

• fuck it: "I don't care"

• g: girl, guy, gangster, money

• gangbanging: being involved in gang activity

• get down: to start with something

• glock: an automatic weapon

• grill: teeth, the front of a car

• gringo: an American

• grip: the talent of a MC, also: synonym for money or a weapon

• herb: Jamaican term for marijuana with Biblical connotations; Rastafarian sacrament

• hit: a gang murder

• ho': hooker, whore

• homeboy: neighbor, friend, follower of hip-hop

• homegirl: neighbor, friend, follower of hip-hop

• homies: homeless person, friend

• hood: short form of neighborhood

• hoodlum: a criminal

• hustler: pimp, dealer

• juice: money

• keep it real: to be loyal to the ideals of hip-hop

• kick it: to start with something

• loco: crazy

• lo-lo: Lowrider, car with hydraulics

• MAC-10: a type of shotgun

• mack: pimp, to have sex, to be a person who is liked by women

• makin' G's: making a lot of money

• man: cop

• Mary Jane: the female cannabis plant. Male plants have almost no active tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)

• MC: rapper (Master of Ceremony)

• mero mero: god, the greatest, the biggest

• Mic Control: the ability to handle with the microphone

• narc: police department which is in charge of drugs, often used for someone who rats you out for doing something illegal

• nickel bag: five dollars worth of pot, or any other street intoxicant

• nine: 9mm pistol

• no diggety: no doubt

• off the wall: not normal

• OG: original gangster

• on a mission: to be determined to do something

• pad: flat, apartment

• pen: penitentiary

• pig: cop

• pinga: dick

• playa hata: (player hater) a playa is anyone, usually a guy, who is gets alot of women, or who makes money. So people who are jealous of that are "playa hata"

• posse: a group of people to hang out with

• primo: marijuana-joint with cocaine

• props: acknowledgment

• punk: an easy influencable person, a homosexual

• put your head out: to kill someone

• puta: prostitute

• puto:  thief,  fag, masculine bitch, coward (Cypress use the first meaning)

• roach: the butt of a joint; it is strong because it catches and concentrates the resin from the rest of the joint

• set: division of a gang, little neighborhood cliques

• shit: any sort of controlled substance

• shotcaller: leader, a person who gives instructions

• shroom: (mushroom) a drug that makes you hallucinate like LSD

• snappin: to run down about someone

• slang: to sell drugs

• skins: leafs for rolling up a joint

• skunk: aromatic sinsemilla, usually cultivated from the Afghani variety of marijuana

• slide: to get along

• spliff: Jamaican term for a large, ice-cream-cone-shaped joint

• sucker: easy influencable person

• static: shit, problems

• step to: a demand for a fight

• steel: a gun

• take out: to kill

• treacherous: cool

• trees: weed

• tribe: close friends

• twenty and forty: hip-hop term for a $20 bag of reefer and a 40-ounce bottle of malt liquor

• vet: veteran

• wack: bad, poor, uncool

• weed: pot, weed, smoke, herb, etc.

• word: to swear, to give an oath

• word is bond: the absolute correctness of an already said statement
